My follower count is stuck at 829. This is unnerving. Not only does it hurt my eyes, but it also generally makes me a bit twitchy. I could easily transform that eye-sore in to a sexy, appealing, and beautifully even 830 by following myself, but I think the narcissism of that might cramp my style ಠ_ಠ. It is right up there with liking your own Facebook status or hitting on your own reflection. Or, writing a post about your follower count. The only way one should follow themselves is via shadow. If stuck in an alternate universe with one’s future self, following would also be acceptable. Plus, I don’t need an e-mail to notify me of my own new posts. I am aware. 829. What a kind of number is that anyway?
Entertain me so that I will stop looking at that box. What are some ridiculous things that irk you for no reason? Do you follow yourself (on WordPress or in alternate universes… whatever)?
I try to follow myself, but I keep giving myself the slip! Or something like that…

I’m irked by women who post pictures of themselves on FB simply to fish for compliments.
“Just woke up hehe. No make-up!!!! (clearly has on make-up) I’m so hideous!”. Insert duckface. Am I doing it right?

829’s a lot! And I follow myself so then I get sent an email every time I post so I know what I’m sending out to others. And I never ‘like’ my own Facebook updates!
I suppose it is a lot… now if only all 829 actually read my garble! I don’t think I have ever “liked” any of my own Facebook updates either. Seems silly. Thanks for the feedback!
I have a hundred-plus and was impressed until I discovered that you can follow someone and tell wordpress (it’s actually the default setting for me) to never get sent anything they ever write. I’m convinced that a number of my followers just clicked follow to raise their own profile in the hope I would follow them!
I try to read most posts of the bloggers I follow, but I really do hate the pesky e-mails. I need to find that setting!
